It is Boo....but so is a tree !!!
Pineapple...ananas comosus is a plant which grows to around 24" high....including the pineapple.
It is technically a bromeliad....a family of epiphytic plants which attach themselves to host trees. They are characterised by a central rosette which, when filled with water (most bromeliads come from the tropical rain forests) form a small "resevoir" of water which can be home to a multitude of aquatic life including frog tadpoles.
However, pineapples are more arid than the usual bromeliads and tend to originate from the dryer central america area such as mexico.
They can be grown as a houseplant but they love lots of sun and hate central heating. They are available from garden centres at certain times of the year.
This is off the top of my head so please look them up and correct me if needed.
