Pet food recall
7 Answers
I have had a very sick dog this past week and she has needed oral syringes of medicine (one an hour before the other one four times in 24 hours) now I am seeing that in USA there is a pet food recall and I feed my dog IAMS which is one of the products recalled. I wonder if my purchase is made in the UK or imported from USA/Canada? But my dogs symptoms are what is described and just in case you feed your cat/dog this stuff and your pet is unwell then you may have the cause....it all depends on where the food is actually manufactured and whether it is imported or not - I say this because I really don't want to cause an undue worry to anyone or a stampede. Have a look at this link because some of the products we get in the shops here. http://www.kmov.com/localnews/stories/kmov_loc alnews_070317_petrecall.21ef78b3.html

It is only the wet food (tinned or pouches) that is affected
and there is no evidence that there is actually any problem from the food. There is one ingredient that they have changed supplier for that is possibly implicated, but it only affects food manufactured at two sites during a short timescale details of which are given on the site.
I feed Eukanuba dry complete and have every faith in it having fed it for the past 18 years.
