Candy Candy

Does anyone remember Candy? She was a manga ( I think) cartoon from the Eighties, a little blonde girl...Anyway, there was a song that was sung before/during/after the show (maybe on the video) and I would love to know all the words. All I remember is one line: 'Candy Candy, she is a friend...' I have found other Candy songs, but none of them contain this line. Can anyone help out?
