Hi everyone!
I'm planning on making a fish pie today.
Does anyone know how I can get rid of the smell?
Whenever you cook fish it always makes the house stink. My eldest has an aversion to the smell of fish so I really don't want her to come home and start complaining!!!

fill a small pan with water and add some vinegar, Simmer until the smell is gone.
Too late for tonight but my Husband hates fish and the smell and I love fish.I sent to Lakeland plastics for A Prices Chefs Candle and it is brilliant It comes in a tin and should be lit before you start cooking and for a while afterwards and my husband agrees that the smell never appears. They have now also brought out tea lights in the same formula. My tinned candle lasted for ages and I keep a stock of both now.Helps with all unpleasant cooking smells and has a lovely perfume.
Cooking any food produces a "smell". If you use fresh fish then your house will not "stink". Forget supermarkets and find a good fishmonger.
I take the deep fat fryer outside to cook fish then run back and forth to check fish and oven chips.
