Why does it taste so bland?
(I'm looking at you, Asda Colombian fairtrade.)
Is it because the big companies Kenco, Nescafe etc. blend their coffees with beans from different sources?

By coincidence found in today's Guardian Unlimited an article on Fairtrade..

"In the end what you get is coffee that is solidly mediocre."
