Hi red :-) I have never dared to find out exactly what is in it but I know I don't like it . Far too "natural " ingredients for my taste.
i know what you mean! i used to like it til i found out what is in it!! now i can't touch it! lol! xXx
blood and guts and i think its disgusting !!!
YUM YUM!! nothing like a bit of black pudding with ya fry up on a sunday!!! :)
How about white pudding lol
Hi red u ok ? I used to love black pudding always new what was in it, but when i saw a TV programme making it from the start.
It put me off for good. lol
Never liked it. However Mr P loves both black & white pudding..he has to cook it, though!
I don't see the difference between eating black pudding and eating animal flesh. Do you not think there is any blood in a steak?

And black pudding isn't too far detached from sausages. If you eat sausages, then you're eating pig's ears, snout etc. etc. as well as blood.

Lovely!

I like black pudding. Haven't had it in years though. :o)
It's not the 'ewww' factor that makes me dislike black pudding,Champers..I just don't like the taste.

I hate anchovies..but I generally love fish :o)
Try eating a haggis if black pudding is too much for you redheid
Both are similar to Haggis really.

White pudding is very similar to black pudding, but does not contain blood. It consists of pork meat (allegedly) and fat, suet, bread, and oatmeal. In some parts of the country it is called Hogs pudding.

Black pudding is made by cooking animal blood (pig or cattle, although sheep and goat are also used; and without exception - horse and poultry blood have also been used) with a filler (meat of an unspecified origin! fat, suet, bread, barley and oatmeal) until it is thick enough to congeal when cooled. In the US it is called Blood sausage.

I eat both, its the fried bread slice (urrgh!) that makes me spew! Mrs O wouldnt touch any of the above with MY barge pole. Oh, and avocados disgusting.
Strangely enough Mr P will happily tuck into sausage and black pudding, but not offal.

I love a nice tasty liver and onion (or bacon) stew..but he will not touch liver. He even picks the kidney out of steak and kidney pie. Another thing I miss is stuffed lambs hearts...yum.
Pippa thats because offal is awful
