Hi what is the best way to preserve tomatoes in vodka?

Simply fill your pickle jar with the tomatoes; top up with vodka; seal the jar; leave for at least one month; hey presto, ready to eat.
Filling the jars ' Fill with tomatoes to within 2.5cm/1 inch of the top. Pour over the vodka to within 1cm/ � inch of the top, making sure the tomatoes are completely covered with the vodka. Cover with a waxed disc (wax side down), Immediately place a cellophane disc over the top then cover with a screw top lid.
Storage ' Store in a cool dark place for 1 month before consuming..
When antony worrell thomson gave a recipe, he pricked the tomatoes with a skewer or darning needle to allow the vodka to permeate into the tomatoes. Also wash and dry your toms first to minimise the risk of stray yeasts fermenting in your precious mixture

squash the tomatoes this will help the vodka to mix.
slice tomatoes into bite size pieces, consume, and then drink the vodka. top up daily. Seriously, why do you want to put tomatoes in vodka - sounds horrible!
