1966 Warre's vintage port
4 Answers
A bottle of this was given to my son at his birth "to be drunk on his 21st". He is now 30 and the bottle is still unopened. What should we do? Keep it longer or drink it?

If in excellent condition properly stored etc and he is not fussed about drinking it himself perhaps he could resell and buy a job lot of what he really likes to drink.
Hopefully your port has been stored horizontally - to keep the cork moist. Also, it should have a white (or some colour) mark on the bottle to indicate that it has not been turned, as a sediment may form and it would be preferable for the sediment to settle firmly in one place at the bottom of the bottle. I would recommend that the bottle is VERY gently handled, opened and decanted (avoiding the sediment) into a new clean bottle or decanter before drinking. Hope this helps.
