Bernard Manning was racist.

And that's ignoring his act. You can debate all you like about whether telling racist jokes makes you a racist, or whether it's all done in jest.

But off-stage, in real life, he was openly and unashamedly racist. He supported Enoch Powell, agreed with much of Hitler's policies and said on BBC television that a black person, even one born in Britain, could never be considered British.

If BM was racist, then that is a surprise, as I always thought he was up for a lugh at everybodys expense - but I don't doubt your word, as you've obviously looked into it.
Racism is wrong in any context of course, but this reverse racism, and positive discrimination is just as sickening. And what about the golliwogs?
