can someone please explain to me what it is and why it is eaten with a roast dinner thank you

Ah well to be a true Yorkshire pudding it should be served up prior to the main meal drenched in proper gravy made from the fat opf the roast

Several uses....
1) Mop up gravy
2) Provide you with something to really fill you up as those roast tatties are just a light snack really.
3) Hide your veg under it
4) To wrap the rest of the dinner in to take home
5) It's what powers the 'manc swagger'.... everyone knows that.

well the one i had today was batter nice and crisp drenched in gravy with brocolli cabbage carrots and roasties n mash tatties with roast lamb,love it better than beef .
its eaten with the roast,because it comes with it.

and its yummmmmmmmmmmmmy
