Are rice cakes and oat cakes healthy? I snack on them during the day as I am trying to lose weight. I dont add anything to them.

They must be as a lot of "healthy eating" diets include them rather than bread.

Yes. I now eat 2 slices of wholemeal bread with baked beans in the morning and no more during the day. It fills me up along with a bowl of low fat muesli and a banana!
And a dvd for supper by all accounts!

LOL yes, better than chocolate or crisps.
I know we're not supposed to "chat" on answerbank, but I go for muesli and banana for breakfast (plus sometimes kiwi fruit), and I like the tesco value muesli best.

ah-Im not keen on kiwi fruit. I bought a pack of 6 organic kiwi from Tesco 2 weeks ago and I still got one left. You should try the Tesco Healthy Eating Muesli, its only 88p for 500grams and its packed with fruit! It has more fruit than oats!
