i have an old recepie book from 1935 which calls for "swiss milk" in a few of the receipes, does any one know what the modern equivelent is?

Is it liquid or powdered milk? I guess which ever one it is, you can substitute with the appropriate.
Nestle sweetened condensed milk was often referred to as 'Swiss milk". Would that correspond to the recipes?
