Tomato blight

I'm very proud that I've grown tomatoes for the first time ever (in fact the first veg/fruit I've ever grown!) but some of them seem to have tomato blight.

Is it still OK to eat these? Should I cut away the nasty bits and perhaps use them in a soup or something?

Personally I would cut away the nasty bits and throw them in the bin - NOT the compost bin because they may infect it. Don't be discouraged from growing them again - everyone seems to have tomato blight this year because of all the rain.

Thanks for the advice and the encouragement. I did wonder if I'd done something wrong to get the blight, but having lurked on a couple of gardening message boards I've realised that it's quite common this year because of the rain.

I'll certainly give them another go!
