My pet hamster, dopey, has been having bad nightmares last few nights and lies awake and shivering and wont go back to his bed in the cage until I lull and pat him to sleep on my shoulder..... he wakes up with a dull sore head and is quite dozey the following day bumping into things and falling about, not like his normal self at all....
anyway, he's a very squeaky, emotional hamster and I think the nightmares have really been getting to him as this morning he has been clutching his blanket and wont let go of it even as he jogs on the hamster wheel...
I am not sure if he has been secretly nibbling on cheese at night that has caused him to have the bad dreams or if its just a silly hamster phase he's going through ... ?!!
So, other than leaving some chocolate and a carrot (minus the chesse) in his cage tonight, is there anything else I should do to stop him from having these bad dreams?? Play some classical music perhaps or put on coronation street on the telly, before his bedtime? Any more ideas, please post, thanks!

And what is wrog with my user name? My questions are real, I dont know what kind my hamster is, he's the normal kind and had golden brown fur.....
He's behaving better today so I'm hoping a bowl of carrots for a bedtime snack will give him happier hamster dreams.... no choccie today as he might get hyper and stay up later than his usual bedtime.
