how many days to eat steak

i bought 2 sirloin steaks from the butchers friday afternoon,i marinated them then put them in the fridge covered,we haven't got round to eating them yet will they be ok to eat for tea today?ive smelt them and they dont have any funny smells and still look ok??

I would think they are OK - the marinade will (depending on what it is) have helped to preserve them anyway.

I'd make them well done even if you don't normally eat them that way just to be on the safe side.

Put it this way - I'd eat them.....

I would say they'd be fine rare if you eat steak rare. We're only talking 4 days here!

Little tip.. next time you need to store steak put it in a bowl filled with olive oil. Chef's store steak like this in the fridge and the oil preserves it for a couple of months!
