To pass a dvla medical, how long do i have to stop drinking for?

If its important for you to pass it , stay off it for a week , it will hardly kill you , you never know it may help you remember where you left your car ..... ;-)

If drink is that important to you that you would have to count the days you should not be concidering a car!!

If that's a question you're having to ask, then don't bother taking a test - you're probably better off staying off the roads!
why not use other means of transport instead - it'll be safer for everybody.
Makes me wonder what you'll be drinking once you do pass your test and become another statistic on the roads.
