A tradition for as long as I can remember is seafood. We do New England clam chowder, oysters Rockefeller, lots of snow and king crab legs, peel and eat shrimp, shrimp scampi, Maine lobsters, pan seared scallops, trout from our mountains caught last summer... baked potatoes, followed by Apple Pecan pie and homemade vanilla bean ice cream...
The polish traditionally eat a meat free meal usually carp .
Fillet steak
Crinkly chips
Organic fried egg
three cheese coleslaw.
Moet
We have a traditional German Christmas Eve (thanks to my partner's parentage) and always eat a salad comprising potatoes, beetroot, onion, boiled eggs, gherkin, herring or tuna and apple - chopped into small chunks, mixed with mayonnaise in a very large bowl and eaten with German rye bread. This is followed by stollen and also ginger cakes and biscuits (lots of different varieties from Lidl.) Delicious.
