20 Woodbines.

On the same subject as costs, what was the cost of 20 Woodbines in 1977.

in 1972 beer was 1s 9d,. 10 No6 ciggy,s were 1s 9d,.a
castella cigar was the price of a pint..at that time the brewery
put 1d a year ,and tax man grabbed 2d,budget.so in 1977 it
would have been 3s.but cider was not taxed like today,and
could be got at half the price of beer.it was about this time
that the cr*p called larger was introduced,and brewers notice
kids have lots of pocket money,the rest is history,.

woodbines in my town of leeds in the 70's were 26p for 20.
