Unwanted tom in my garden!
6 Answers
I have a five year old neutured tom (Diego) and two unspayed 8month old females, who I am keeping in until they are big enough to be "done". Vet says hopefully this week.
Anyway, there is a big ginger tom that is spraying in my garden and struts around like he owns the joint, and now Diego will hardly go out. If he does go out he barely leaves the patio let alone venture onto the grass or trees or hop the fence like he used to - he never chases this ginger one if they happen to be in the garden at the same time.
Any ideas how i can deter this horrible ginger bully that Diego seems wary of? Ginger looks like a right bruiser and despite Diego weighing 18lb, I don't blame him for being a bit frightened. But just a bit.
Thanks

Our 2 girlie cats were being beaten up in our garden and it worked for us , also a lot of hand clapping , how dare they bully the girlies !!!!
The ginger tom will lose interest when your females have been spayed. I do not understand why your vet has not spayed them before now. When you say big enough, is it because they are particularly small for their age. Have they come into season yet? You will know if they have because they act very strangely when in season
Persianlady, the females were too small (physically) to be done before Xmas. The vet said that one could be done, but the other was too small and as he would prefer to do them together so to wait until the runt is big enough. They have been in season recently, within the past two weeks and are now booked in to be spayed on Friday.
