Do you ever look at your name and think its strange and analyse it?

I do -even tho i've had it for 49yrs.

Given the choice are you happy with your given name or would you rather have had another name and what would it have been?

I have never ever liked my name, I dont know why but I remember as a small child grimacing when people called me, I still hate it now but I can make it shorter (caz) so there is less of it.

I dont know what other name I would pick, one that is similar but NOT the same!
I am happy with my name now and have been for some time. However when I was younger all the girls had nice names like Susan, Laura, Linda and the like and I was the only one with my name which is also a boy's name.
My name is Megan (funnily enough) but my sister is Bronwyn. Seeing as we were brouhgt up in Essex, a long way from the Valleys, there weren't many welsh names round our way. She got it worse than me though....

I can relate Knobby -I actually like my name until it became the butt of the 'advertising' b$tards -I then became a tarcy or a Sharon.

Im a Maureen -which is a nice name but when I introduce myself -I get o 118 -o how I pish myself laughing -not.O and theres the Bounty ad as well -where the trannys are cleaning the floor -hysterical.

I would have like my middle name for my known name and I know its old fashioned but I like it -Helen.
I thought the same as bensmum when I was younger I always wanted to be called Susan or Carol something girly and simple. I always have to repeat my name even now I have to say it twice before people get it right.
lol@knobby, well spotted, my mistake, love ya, from, christine. xxxxxxx
