i have an abundance of home made jam given to me by my sister-in-law who wouldn't take no thank you for an answer, so now i am wondering what to do with it because we don't actually like it on our toast - i am thinking jam puddings, like jam sponge and jam roly-poly, but i can't think of anymore and since i have ten jars of the stuff to use up we might soon get fed up of the same two desserts - any more suggestions please?

You could make jam tarts, victoria sponge, jam shortbread (see link) http://uktv.co.uk/food/recipe/aid/513148. My kids love Yorkshire Puddings with jam on, they're delicious!!!!
this might sound disgusting but try putting a blob of jam on top of mature chedder cheese, it is brill, honestly. other than the usual victoria cakes etc I am not sure what else you can do, Mind you its handy to keep in case you get overrun with ants in the summer, because I read somewhere that if you put a trail of jam leading away from your house, and a saucer of jam at the end of the trail then the ants will be attracted to the saucer therefore diverting them away from your house!!! luckily I have not had the need to try this, but it does sound feasible. sorry I have not been able to help you further.
I'm with floppsy, I love toasted cheese and jam sandwiches. Try it.
