Do any of you collect nectar points, but on having looked on line at your statement of points realise that the last points added were in January and you have done more shopping since then? Mine is like that and I did telephone to speak to someone, and got through to a call centre on far off shores...........I got nowhere!

I don't mind paying a little bit extra to do my shopping at sainsburys as it is the only local supermarket, as long as I get my rewards, it would seem that it doesn't quite work like that.

Has this happened with anyone else?

Nectar points are surely a case of better had than not had. I've had some nice surprises at the checkout, 5 here and there. It pays to shop around all the supermarkets for offers, e.g. Sainsbury are currently doing Patak's curry sauces half-price, 72p.
Hello HJT40

I've also found that my online and paper statements have been out of date by a month. I got a LCD TV though, and when I went to pay with Nectar points, the store did have my up to date total on their system.

I used to use the points against my shopping, but then decided to save them instead. I've just got an i-Pod too.

Whiffey's right, it's best to shop around for offers.
My statement shows the last transaction as 27th Jan. I noticed this a couple of weeks ago but just thought they would update at the end of each month...obviously not grrrr

I am owed points from grocery shopping and quite a few points from the E-stores :(
Have you noticed that Debenhams have pulled out of the Nectar scheme?

You no longer get points if you shop there.

This is where I was confused/annoyed. The person from the call centre said that my points were up to date and that I could see them on the website, but they were obviously not. I tend to spend my on music or dvds, not being as disciplined as Stonemonkey and when I have time to do it, it would be nice if it was correct. I went on the email an adviser all they could say was that they only deal with my online account and cannot deal with it and gave me the call centre number.

Vodafone have also stopped doing it. I noticed that I was not receiving my points when they were still doing it., Apparently I had dropped off the system, but never got them put back on!
But BHS have opted in.

Shopping at Sainsburys the points show up the next day or the day after (on the till slip). Never had any problem seeing them online either - maybe there's a glitch with your account
Is it possible you are looking at a 'previous statement' page on the website? Though why it should show you that first (if that is the case) is a mystery
