for me i grill the toast first then allow to cool before buttering and adding the cooked beans (just so it doesn't go totally soggy immediatly)

i also have to add cheese and bacon to the beans as well
Cook toast in toaster then butter whilst piping hot

Add half a tin of cold beans to toast

Eat

Enjoy

Fart a lot the next day

Just to be contrary, I toast the bread (either in the toaster or under the grill) and whilst that is happening I am heating the baked beans up in a saucepan or in the ping machine.... When the toast is ready, I spread a little olive oil spread around the edges, then pour the hot baked beans over the centre of the toast. A good shake of freshly ground pepper and the snack is ready to devour....
Tatty beans are the way to go! Over cook in the microwave till they explode! TATTY BEANS yum! xxx

Sparingly spread Marmite on bread, then with strong cheddar cheese, then spread beans and put under the toaster/broiler or in oven for a couple minutes. Heavenly !!!

Thanks for all your suggestions. Some people also like sprinking paprika on their beans. I wonder what would happen if I fry the baked beans hehe

"I wonder what would happen if I fry the baked beans hehe "

Not sure about that but "beans on fried bread" is the absolute business.

I tend to stir the beans while they cook which breaks down the skins and makes the sauce nice and thick. Beans in the microwave are just plain wrong in my opinion.
use up your old mash by frying them and add baked beans, a nice tasty mush.
Has anyone noticed that Heinz beans have got less tomatoey and more sloppy? Or is it just me?
