is this something she'll want at home? If not then how about hiring the local play centre for a few hours? Many do healthy food and snacks too.
at 3 years old they wont really remember that much, why spend loads of money. Have a couple of friends at home and a lovely little dinner party with games
How about a stripper?
A children's entertainer? one that does magic tricks etc
you can get a magician who makes balloon animals etc costs about 125 quid for a 2 hour party.
i know someone got him for a party for their 4 year old.

said it was great.

she has hired a hall with outdoors
My friend had a hall hired for her child, and then bouncy castle, and food etc. And you should have seen all the presents she got. It was just ridiculous. I was happy enough when I was young to choose 6 of my friends to come round for dinner. And they were happy enough to walk away with a party bag, with a piece of cake, a jelly head dragon and a pencil sharpener with those little silver balls you had to get in the holes :-)

omg - a hired venue for a 3yr old!!! money to burn - comes to mind!

parties at home rocked!!!

but can anyone really remember in great detail their 3rd birthday???
PIZZA MAKIN! erm... got to have music usual party games, musical chairs etc. dunno
if there are going to be enough parents stying for the party then how about a table of things to make, stick and colour?

matalan had tubs of little pompoms, googly eyes, glitter glue, lolly stick etc for only 3. They might keep kiddies amused as well.
My daughter went to a party last year (she is 10 now though) and they had hired a hall with some childrens TEAM Entertainers. They played games and competed for buckets of sloppy jelly. Then they went outside and had Jelly throwing. IT WAS HILARIOUS. I had to throw the clothes away and the bath water was sticky and pink when she got out. Had to wash her hair three times but lord they all enjoyed themselves.

This year my daughther is 11 and will be starting high school in Septmber (Oh where has my baby gone!) She is having a pj party through the day (not a sleep over as I dont 'do' other peoples children overnight - I fail as a responsible adult in that way) Anyway - I have bought 20 pairs of lilac and lemon fleece pjs in the primark sale - all aged 11 - 12 for a quid a pair) so each girl will get a pair of pjs with her invite. They are then having a Fire Engine Limousine to take them round a few places, shops, coffee bars, ice cream parlour, finishing off at a fast food place.

Should be fun and my house wont get wrecked.

This ISNT costing as much as you think it might. I work in Media Advertising and got the Fire Engine Limo for free on a Contra Deal - so I am only probably spending150.00 or something like that! I bought sets of silver fountain and ball pens (reduced from 4.99 each at The Works to 10p a set the other day for their party bags and as a present for them all starting big school.)

When my daughter was 3, I threw a party at my Flying Club, with a Bouncy Castle, DJ and Magician. I mistakenly invited 56 children from her nursery and EVERY ONE OF THEM TURNED UP 'with' their parents, grandparents etc. I had also hired two of the nursery nurses from her nursery to help out and paid them 15.00 an hour each. I left them to it and went for a drink at the Bar.

Excellent Party.

Good Luck - sounds like you are going to have a fab time !

Where are you? In Liverpool we have a party bus. It's a double decker with trained staff that's decked out like a wacky warehouse inside. It comes and parks outside your house - stops your place getting trashed with jelly & ice-cream - and the kids party on!
dont listen to miniN- i think its great for children to have parties at 3- i have always had a party for my son at a hall and everyone has a great day- we look forward to it all year! better than boring home parties every year!! its the one day of the year thats his gina- so splash out!!
