Oh happy days! Babycham, brandy & babycham if you were really lucky, Cherry B, cider (woodpecker wasn't it?), lager & lime & I seem to remember the fellas drank Double Diamond beer.
Pernod and blackcurrant, vodka and lime, Snowballs (Avocaat and lemonade), Liebfraumilch - Black Tower, Berncastl Green Label, Blue Nun, Marie Celeste cooking sherry.
bitter and mild for the male folk
I seem to remember Breaker Malt Licquor (sp?)
Watney's Red Barrel, Worthington E, Ben Truman, homebrew derived from a kit bought in Boots, Mackeson, Party Fours and/or Sevens.
Merrydown Cider! Small glasses, but very strong. Vodka and Lime definitely, Vodka and Blackcurrant. Those were the days!
starlight bitter in the late sixties, about 8pence a pint, also the lager came in bottles and was considered a womans drink, the first lager on tap was gauntlet ,the taste was a bit strange to say the least.i also remember 3or4 young ladys going around the pubs dishing out clay pipes to try out some kind of pipe tobacco ,good old days or what .
What about "Party 7's"
Did anyone ever actually manage to open a Party 7? There must be hundreds in attics all over the country unopened (the beer probably tastes better now as well).
Colt 45 lager & cointreau but not in the same glass.
