Question Author
does anyone remember who made them...?
Nope sorry, I remeber getting them for my lunch box at infant school so I really wouldn't recall that. Sorry!
Question Author
thanks anyway, just to know that sum1 else remembers them is good enuff!
They went the same way as 'whickers' - both are sorely missed
I don't remember whickers.
I used to love them, bacon 'n' bean flavour, bring back Stix too, they came out around the same time as Whickers! Those were the days!
also there was a crisp called puffs and they was just hollow tubes.
Question Author
you can still get puffs, salt and vinegar are the best one's..!
Must say I have never met anybody who remembers them. It was years and years ago, when I was about 7 or so (Late 1970's).
Question Author
well im not that old miself, i just remember them from when i was a kid..!
They used to sell them in my primary school and also fish and chip crisps
Question Author
you can still get fish and chips but they dont taste as good as they used to..
I remember fish and chip crisps but i don't remember them tasting that good in the first place. Kind of like cardboard with vinegar on them.
I remember who made them. Bensons or Burtons. I phoned them in about 1996 to ask if they still made them. I even asked if they had any samples/literature or anything hanging around i could have. Piglets = perfection
