Hi skyep, I was a member a few years ago and it was fine, it did'nt take long to get your joining fee back. I stopped it mainly because our fave eating places were not in it, and there wasn't many in my area. There was a lot in the Manchester area from what I can remember tho

I had a look, but there is nothing anywhere near me :(
For free cheap deals without a signing up fee try http://www.5pm.co.uk/ and keep an eye out on moneysavingexpert.com for details of vouchers for money off meals. You can also sign up online to some chains such as Wagamama for vouchers off meals, free bottles of wine etc.
I have a card for the Yorkshire area and have found it to be great value. I originally joined through a free offer in the local paper. When that expired I didn`t renew my card but I was offered half price membership so I decided to take it. The problem is with most of the restaurants once you have used your card they cross off their number from the back of the card so you can`t use it again there. We have found two restaurants in our area where they don`t cross the number off and we have been back a few times and used the card. They are both quite expensive so we wouldn`t have gone if we hadn`t had the card. They do seem to offer cut price membership quite frequently so I am not sue I would pay the full price.

white rose - Thanks for your feedback, interesting about some restaurants crossing their number off the back! I suppose you still benefit though in the long run over what you have paid out for membership. Thanks white xxx
