Just to get things right. I was never friendly with dot until the night she asked me to mail her regarding another Ab'r who had once bulied dot with several others. When I mailed dot she told me that this bully was having a laugh at me via pm and that she being dot and few others were discussing reporting said buly to the ED. I had a suspicion dot was using me to get at the bully so I posted the full conversation dot had given me on AB! I could actually feel dots face turning red. Thats what she got for using me.

Sorry bez, you have the wrong thread. This one was Dot being pushed into a corner by a young woman and her co horts. At that time I backed dot as nobody else was. She asked me to mail her to get revenge on XXXXX as thought I would have a pop at XXXXX but I did'nt and dot did'nt like it one bit. Im off to bed so I bid you good night.

Happily, you can STILL get decent answers and have a nice bit of banter without any nastiness. I think it'd be a shame to get rid of CB, when so many people enjoy it, but yes, the nastiness goes well beyond the mark sometimes. This time, I think legend had a legitimate gripe. No one wants to be accused of vile things and have their name smeared, but then it goes on and on. I try to mediate, and hopefully reply with some helpful answers to anyone who wants an opinion. x

I hate to say this, but.....AB states that the site's there for all topics to be discussed. If you try and censor in part, stuff just appears under either a new topic, or sprouts from nowhere, in the midst of a "normal" thread. there's always be people who think it's good fun to go that extra mile and cause havoc. this type of sense of humour, if you like, is usually generated by people who don't make their mark in the real world. best to try and ignore them I think.

Yes, I see your point Bez - but you can't blame folk for distrusting any new greenies, since the "in" thing seems to be cloning the tried and true. Takes a while to work out who's really who - but that bit doesn't really bother me. If people are "OK", I'll chat to them, whatever.
I can't say whether the site's got worse or not, because i've only been here for a few months, but like i say, i think when regulars are on, night after night, this sort of thing's bound to blow up now and again. I've heard a few people say - well yes, it was "bad" the other night - but it livens the place up. Therefore, some folk find it all entertaining, by the sound of things,

remember bez, the green business was introduced after a wave of impersonation - people were signing up with names almost identical to regular users and posting junk straightaway. At least when they're in green you can take them with a pinch of salt. Plenty of greenies are perfectly genuine and post sensible things. The ones that aren't are quickly visible.
