ASDA (and I think Tesco now) do a photo cake where you can take any picture and they'll print it on the cake. Just print out what you want from your computer.
No problem. I've just looked on yahoo images and there's some good ones you could download. I've done it quite a few times with whatever character my son has been into at the time. A couple of times I've morphed a picture of him into the pic with Adobe Photoshop as well to personalise it and he loved it! How about Ben 10 with your son's face? :o)
It's not finding the time to make a cake that's the problem, it's the decorating it. Speaking as someone with no imagination or artistic flair whatsoever, I'd rather just buy one with what he wants on it and have my son happy than attempt to make one and end up with some bizarre unidentifiable creation that looks like a failed nuclear experiment!!! lol. In short, I know my limitations and not having time isn't the problem - i'm just not sufficiently creative!
Hi Nathanboo. I think you can get them in Asda. But if not, definately try the photo thing and it will come out a treat. i did this for my little girls birthday last year with her own photo on it. BAD IDEA ! I couldnt bear to cut her up so I bought another cake for the children to take home and the first one is still in the freezer lol.
I am grateful to Denise for the idea of downloading a pic as Tilly wants a Harry Potter cake for her birthday and I will do that now maybe with her own face in there too. What a brill idea. And I cant find one anyway. Same with W.I.T.C.H. last year.
i got a cake topper off ebay it was fab, i got a lady in the town to make a chocolate cake which only cost 8 and she put the iced topper on for me, all the kids loved the cake it looked fab
