Well, believe it or not, I adore a really simple wholemeal and cheddar sarnie.... nothing else added... just good quality wholemeal bread, a thin scraping of marg and some really tasty cheddar. Occasionally I will add a few slices of homegrown tomato (which just burst with flavour) but I cannot abide the full of *whatever* sandwiches available on the High Street - they are just too ghastly...
I once bought a cheese and tomato sandwich in Tesco's... it was on cotton wool white bread, with about an half inch of marg, then another half inch of commercial mayo, some really rubbery *cheese* and a tiny slice of something red and slithery...
