Ive had my cocker spaniel 7 months now he is 15months old, he was well house trained until about a month ago, where he messes on the carpet i thought it was to do with puttin him on adult food from puppy so went back to that but he has still carried on wettin??
in that time i have found a partner and he has been staying over alot!! my dog also goes and stays at my mums where he has never wetted? ive tried buying the stuff that you spray on the carpet to stop them messing but that hasnt helped?? anyone got any ideas what i can??!!

Sounds like the dog could be jealous of the partner and showing his feelings by wetting indoors. He is at the age where he wants to be 'top dog'. Is the dog getting any less attention or exercise? You could also get him checked by the vet to make sure there are no physical reasons why he is doing this, such as infection, or injury, although if he is clean at your mum's thats not likely. Do you pack him off to your mum's when the partner stays? If so, only one thing for it - get rid (of the partner that is).
