But I don't use grill pans LOL

If I need to grill something, it goes in the George Fornby.
have you no frying pan then or a chip pan, does one have no instructions if needed on the george formby machine?
thats ok, I've got drain cleaning rods (well my dad has)

I've had a quiet one too, been to visit parents, which means I get feed without having to worry about cooking or washing up, but also means I have to sort out all the questions about my dads computers while I'm there, still good to have a use :)

was going to pop in to see my brother but he was out, still nice to see his other half and my nephew and get slobbered over by his dogs :)

OH bless so you have a litlle neice/nephew on the way real soon then. can understand why you wouldn't want to miss that

NCIS is on so I'm ok for TV (do like my CSI, NCIS etc etc)
Question Author
Nope, I don't. A chip pan? Do you still get those?

I seriously haven't fried anything for years - not even an egg, I poach them.
i apologise profusely then, surely the grill comes with suggestions how to maintain your grill eh!
Question Author
Yeah, I got slobbered on by my brothers dog too - he also peed on one of my indoor plants :(

I'm watching a movie on Sky Premier at te moment but can't get into it, but Bades of Glory is on at 10!
Question Author
Puddi, do I sense you getting a bit uppity with me?? LOL

I've just checked the instructions, it tells me to clean the plates with a cloth and not a scourerer (which I ignore) and not to empty the contents down the drains, which takes me back to square 1.......if you don't have an empty milk carton, what do you do??
Let it solidfy and the empty contents into newspaper wrap well and then dispose in bin!!!
Question Author
PMSL!!!

That's what I currently do but thought maybe you fine people had a better (quicker) solution.......
No when it comes to disposing of fat do i when its cooled otherwise you might melt the milk carton lol!
Question Author
When I am lucky enough to have an empty carton, it buckles a little but thankfully it hasn't melted through (yet).

Now, hasn't this passed half an hour or just nicely :)

:p
either puddicats or mine work,

the George Fornby instructions are right, never try putting down the sink without dissolving with water and detergent first... it will block the drains and the sink pipes, and trust me cleaning it out is a job that will make anyone gag big time...

Been there done that job too many times (was once a domestic appliance engineer so if your washing machine breaks I'm the man too know:))

P.S. George fornby, decent thick sliced bacon and proper fresh thick sliced bread = best breakfast in the world :)
Question Author
I don't like bacon.....
ooo, somebody that doesn't like bacon strange:) what not even like 5mm thick proper butchers stuff... not the cheap nasty stuff you get in supermarkets?
Question Author
Hmm, I can't say I've tried the butchers stuff, the supermarket stuff put me off!

I do like the speciality ones though, Asda used to so an 'Extra Special' range of maple syrup bacon, that was rather tasty, but I haven't seen it for ages.
hmmm, proper bacon tastes nothing like the cheap supermarket stuff

the proper stuff when you cook it you get left with a decent bit of meat with a proper taste, supermarket stuff shrivels up to nothing and isn't worth eating.

Now maple syrup bacon I want to try... that sounds loverly

OK now I want pancakes and maple syrup )
