All inclusive should include all drinks, snacks, entertainments, sports and so on.
Full board you get breakfast, lunch and dinner.

All inclusive you get all that, but in addition food and drinks are available all the time, so you can eat and drink as much as you like, and whenever you want to, without paying extra.

Oh right! Thanks for those answers I think we will stick with half board then, sounds enough for us and at least we are then free to go off and explore all day.
Thanks again.
The trouble wihl AI is that you feel very tied to your hotel and begrudge spending money elsewhere so you go home feeling like you've seen nothing and been nowhere.
Mind you, it is good if you have children.
We don't feel tied to a hotel if we go AI. We wouldn't hang around a hotel just because everything is there for the taking.. When we go out we just buy whatever we want, as we would if we were staying anywhere else, and if we want to try the local restaurants rather than eat at the hotel, we do.
but naomi, the fact that you dont have to pay out when you get there is what makes you chose AI .Why go AI if you are then going to buy stuff and eat out.?
That's not why we choose All Inclusive. We've only ever been All Inclusive in the Caribbean, and that's simply because a lot of hotels have gone over to All Inclusive, although I must admit it is very handy to have everything on tap whenever you want it. However, we do like to get around - we always hire a car for a few days - and the all inclusive facility doesn't stop us friom doing that. We may have paid for All Inclusive, but it somewhat defeats the object of going on holiday and seeing other places if we confine ourselves to barracks simply because we want to get out money's worth - which I know a lot of people do. That, for us, isn't a consideration. We use the All Inclusive facilities when it suits us, but when it doesn't, we don't.
to me though naomi, the all inclusive hol is a cheap option as regards spending money once youre there. I guess if youre on a budget then you stay put.
It was just the one thing i wasnt keen on cause i like to eat out. Seems daft paying out for food and drink when you have it all in your hotel for free so to speak.
I understand completely what you're saying, Lilly, and you're absolutely right when you say that All Inclusive is great when you have children. Beach, sun, sea, and never ending ice cream and pizza. What more could a kid want? :o)
