Stormy weather!!

I think it's safe to put on my PC now! Has anyone else had a flash thunderstorm today?
Wow,well we've just had quite a thunderstorm earlier on.
It didn't last long,but when it came, it felt like the storm in the beginning of War of the Worlds film last night on telly!
It was very pleasant in the first part of the evening.My brother was having a chat with my mum on the patio,and I was at the end of the garden.I could see that the sky had really dark grey stormy clouds in the distance.I was pretty sure it was heading our way,as it was coming ever so nearer.
But when it did,the wind suddenly got stronger,and there was thunder and lightning non stop.
I found it really fascinating.My mum and my bro had gone inside straight away.Then as I just got inside, the rain suddenly began to lash down really hard.It was all over in a matter of say 10 minutes or so.It had progressed westwards,and I could still hear the rumbling of thunder in the distance.

No storm here imhotep but I live in hope , I like storms and will you send it here please if you can ? I think it have gone from your area then you are safe to have your PC on . :-)

Well,bigmamma I'm not sure where you live,but I live in south-west wales.
So,unless you live in Caldey Island off the coast of Tenby, or say Fishguard or Haverfordwest, you're gonna miss it.

Lovely storm just rolled over here in Wales, but it messed up Sky so I missed most of University Challenge

I could hear University Challenge in the other room.
My mum was watching it and from the sound of it,we didn't seem to have any problems y-cymro!!
But I didn't hear who won though,sorry!

We had some rumbles of thunder and it's just rained heavily for a few minutes - must be moving eastwards so perhaps it will reach you during the night bigmamma

I went outside earlier on, after it had poured down and the wind blew.It did feel as if it had refreshed the air a bit.
At the moment, it's strangely calm outside now.The sky is still rather grey,but not as dark as earlier on.
It seems so tranquil right now,and very misty in the distance.

No storm here in London, but it is still very very hot!!

Even now, I have got most windows open and back and front doors to get a breeze!!!

I love watching storms through the window!!

I'd like some thunder and stuff please, it's too hot for me, it's too hot to wear anything, and the heat from my laptop doesn't help :(
