Hovis digestives are still around but not that easy to find - Tesco has them tho.
Absolutely lovely with cheese. I can't even find them in our local Morrisons now!
A slightly different take -- can you remember the small hovis loaves, about 2 1/2 inches long which bakeries used to produce? They used to cost about one old penny. I'm just ancient!!
Then that makes me ancient as well pinus!! The first time I had these was at the Ideal Home Exhibition in the 50's. It seemed so special to have your own tiny Hovis loaf.
I bought some havis biscuits in Tescos last week but prior to that, they not had them in for ages. Delicious with cheese I agree. We used to get the little Hovis loaves on our way home from school,. Yummy
It was rare for my brother and me to have more than a few crumbs left by the time we got back from the shop.
Yes,Tesco did have some but here in Walkden, they are no more!!
Hello again This could be useful! These biscuits can be purchased at www.missingbritain.com
I can remember buying the small Hovis loaves for my lunch in Matlock in 1992!
