Hammonds Chop Sauce

Where on earth can I buy this product? I live in Newcastle upon Tyne and have tried all the supermarkets in the area to no avail Help pleeeeeeeese.

I don't think it is made in consumer size bottles anymore, sorry. The original Hammonds factory was around 3 miles from me, just outside Bradford, but burnt down in 2002/2003 (can't remember just when), shut for year for rebuilding but the supermarkets had stopped ordering it. They shut soon after and the site was sold to developers and is now posh apartments overlooking the canal.

McCormick Foods Europe (in Rochdale, but part of big US company) aquired/bought the name/recipe and I believe still make Hammonds Chop Sauce but only in the catering size plastic containers, their phone number is 01706 756800 for info on wholesalers.

They have a US website (which is ****** all use to us Brits!), www.mccormik.com, and doesn't seem to mention Hammons Chop Sauce at all.

BTW this has been answered here on TheAnswerBank tons of times - did you do a search?

Late news, my friend (who used to be a security guard there) confirms the Bradford site ceased manufacturing in Sept 2003!

i also live in newcastle upon tyne and im having same problem. apparantly it has stopped being made. last year i had the same problem and believe me i have tried everywhere. im going to visit the cash and carrys locally today so fingers crossed.
