diabetic food course

Has anyone been on a DAFNE (diabetic adjustment for normal eating) course for diabeties.... if so what does it involve. TIA

In case anyone is interested, DAFNE means that the current approach to insulin and food is turned on its head and people who have Type 1 diabetes adjust their insulin to suit what they are eating, whereas the usual advice is adjust their diet.... It came out of trials in Germany after a lot of diabetes sufferers were finding they were losing their *warning signs* because of really tight blood glucose control.
