Can Muslims consume vinegar? I mean, for example, red wine vinegar? Is that considered to contain alcohol?

Vinegar is permitted - despite its alcohol content it is not an intoxicant or injurious to ones health -these are the main factors to consider

Alcohol has the chemical name ethanol and vinegar is a dilute aqueous solution of ethanoic acid. The two liquids are chemically different so there's no problem for muslims.
I watched a TV a programme called '' how is it made '' a while ago.

They were showing how medicine capsules are made etc, I was surprised that the capsule containers for the drugs were made from pigs gut or intestines.

I wonder if Muslims are made aware by the Doctors that they contain pig contents, I doubt it.

Also, would the Muslims turn a blind eye to their religion knowing they were going to be made better, pigs parts or not?.
PS:
By the way, I spent 11 years working in Abu Dhabi so don't be fooled what you hear about Muslims not drinking alcohol etc.

60% of the private bars there were frequented by male Muslims, married and single, and most of them were trying their hardest to get off, or impress the Western Ladies.

They are so Cynical.
