I love toasies but I always go through phases with them :
1) go out a buy a toasties maker
2) within minutes of getting it home shove something tasty into it like cheese slices and ham slices
3) eat nothing but toasties for about 1 month but completely boring and put the same cheese and ham in it.
4) I continue to weld cheese to the hot plates and Im too lazy to scape it off
5) due to the cheesey hot plates a small fire nearly starts everytime i use it.
6) ever more cheese added to the plates
7) all of a sudden one day I cannot look at a toastie ever again
8) the thought of warm bread round filling would make me puke at this point, by the way I try to be healthy and use wholemeal bread but it tastes crappy.
9) the toastie machine sits unused for months gathering dust until I think 'hell I'll never use that again, its taking up room on my kitchen surface, and yet another thing to move house with (I rent)' so I throw it in the bin.
10) Usually 6months to a year later someone talking about toasties gets me addicted again and I run out a buy another machine.
id have cheese and ham or cheese and onion, but the mars bar one sounds likeit would maybe be nice because theres a jar of snickers spread that you can buy and its lovely on toast (chocolate, peanut and caramel)
I'm the same as what the...I've so far bought two toasties, had the obligatory month of eating nothing but toasties, got bored, stuck toster in cupboard- then eventually thrown away.
Breville toastie with slaps of butter on both sides of bread, fill with cheese, ham, mushroom and onion and bind the mixture with beaten egg and carefully put into middle of slice (a) pat down slice (b) so that filling doesn't escape too much. Put in breville machine until golden brow, sealed shut and gooey in the middle, you aint tried it do so, cos it's ace!!!!
