Coffee & Tia Maria jellies

Make up a jug of strongish black coffee & add sugar to taste. Soak a couple of strips of gelatine (I use Supercook gelatine) as per the instructions on the packet then add to the coffee. Allow to cool slightly then add Tia Maria to taste.
Pour into individual serving dishes (I use shot glasses) and refrigerate overnight. Serve with a dollop of fromage frais or whipped double cream.
This recipe works well with other drinks, such as Baileys or even dark rum.
Not suitable for kids!

Hot chocolate/nesquik - add to a basic sponge cake mix.

Yum, yum re: coffee and tia maria jellies - will give it a go.

also what a good idea to simply add the hot choc to sponge cake.

very smart you are :-)
Put a couple of scoops of coffee ice cream into a dish, pour over a couple of spoon fuls of very strong hot coffee, sprinkle with shavings of chocolate. Coffee choc is v.good., and makes it nice for a dinner party. It would probably taste OK with vanilla or choc ice cream too.
