My Favourites - duplicated files?
2 Answers
I am puzzled! When I had to reset my PC recently after a crash I reloaded all my Favourites and have them available by clicking on My Favourites icon on my desktop above My computer and my Docs. When I do this it shows all favourites ok and it says "Docs & Settings/my name/Favourites/My Favourites" However, when I save a website to My Favourites it does not show here. I have to click on Favourites at top of screen next to view in that bar and there it is! Then I have to highlight it and 'cut', then go into My Favourites where everything else is and 'edit' and then it appears. What have I done wrong? Have I duplicated files somewhere when resetting my PC? Thank you anyone. Gordon

I suspect your reset disc has backed up your old settings
if you right click the desktop icon for your favourites
copy the target path
then in IE go to files | import and export | and run the wizard - you can import the old links ...

Sorry AC the Troll - still can't make this work!
When I right click on My Favs on desktop I just get a box with, open, search, compress, send to. Nothing about target path? What is that?
If I go into IE and click on 'favorites' at top it just lists 'my favs' within that.
So - when I click on 'add to favourites' when bookmarking a website I have to arrow down and select My Favs and save or else it will save in Favorites only and I have to cut/paste from there!!
Thanks
