Who to complain to about a pub

Following an unpleasant experience in a particular pub I would like to make a complaint to them. I would also like to complain to someone higher. Would this be their Brewery? Does anyone know how to find out which brewery covers which pub? Any further advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

It very much depends - is it a freehouse, or tenanted?

If it's a freehouse, the landlord is his or her own boss.

Is it a chain?

Was the incident sufficiently severe enough for a complaint to the police, perhaps?

Much more info needed - the nature of the incident, and who was involved - bar person, manager?

Thanks Ethel. I dont think it is a chain, so sounds more like it is a Freehouse (unfortunatley) and I fear that the landlord may not be so concerned as my complaint is about the doorstaff!

Assaults are serious and should be reported to the police.

Doorstaff are licenced by the council, so contact them too,.

If you have any physical injuries, photograph them now, and every other day until they are gone.

Who is at fault? An employee? Is that why you wish to complain to the pub owners?
