A 1kg of Pistachio kernals costs a thumping �11 -is there any EVERY DAY food stuff more expensive per kg than that?
I DO NOT MEAN ANY OF FANCY POSH STUFF LIKE TRUFFLES, CAVIAR, SUSHI OR ANY OF THE OTHER TOP 10 MOST EXPENSIVE FOODS TOSH

According to this chart (scroll down)...king prawns..maybe not totally everyday...are over �23 per kilo....
No-I don't think pistachios are the most expensive food item...bet there are loads more. Tis a bit scary.

Yes - I've found quite a few! Hope you don't fancy many Mutsutake mushrooms. You can pay up to �480 a pound!!!!
