a biggish one - 7 egg whites (room temperature)
make sure your bowl and utensils are spotless.
electric oven at 150 degrees
whisk the egg whites until they peak
bit by bit add 14 ounces of caster sugar keep on whisking
the mixture will become creamy and smooth looking
add 2 teaspoons of cornflour and 2 teaspoons of vinegar, pinch of salt (this holds it together)
put on greaseproof paper - pile high as high as you can
put mixture in oven and bake low rung for 1and half hours (keep at 150 degrees right through) in spite of all the recipes you read
leave to cool
take out put on fresh cream fruit and flake
enjoy - make them all the time
made 5 there for christmas - good luck
keep on trying if your first one is not good - you will learn but you should be sure with this one - let me know you get on bye
