Kinoulton Scouts DIngbats & Connections Quiz 2008 - Results

The Kinoulton Scouts Christmas 2008 Quiz on Dingbats and Connections is now finished, and details of the answers and winners are on the website at http://www.kinoultonquiz.co.uk/
From observations on this website and in the sheets returned, it would appear people found the Connections and Word Snake fairly straight-forward in general, but a few of the dingbats turned out to be rather tricky. The ones which caused the most problems were some of the ones I created myself, which were therefore impossible to look up on the Internet!
I'd appreciate your comments on the format and difficultly of this quiz and of previous years, so that I can pitch future quizzes at the style most people prefer. In fact, whilst you Answerbank go-ers do pretty well on these sorts of quizzes, average Scout families who don't regularly do quizzes can often find the questions too cryptic. It's a balancing act with the difficulty to keep everyone happy, and perhaps this year I erred to much on the hard side.
The support of everyone for the Kinoulton Scouts through these quiz sheets is very much appreciated.

The "what comes next" sequences might be an option, if I can think of some more examples, but that one was also perceived as too hard by some people. The connections one always seems to go down OK, though.
I'll probably mix a few themes again (like this year), so that at least part of the quiz works for everyone.
I'd be really interested to hear any new ideas too!
