I am going to make hoummus tonight, but have a whole tin of chick peas to make it with, this is going to make quite a lot of it, how long will it last in the fridge, and is it possible to freeze it, I wo't be added Tahni to it though.

Yes I froze some to see if it worked and couldn't tell the difference. What will power tho' I am impressed . I can eat it by the spoonfull!!
I love it, but just with walkers plain crisps!!!
Not adding Tahini?????

.....it's just not hoummous without it! That's what makes it taste so good. You CAN get light Tahini.
I too am wondering what on earth it will be like without that essential ingredient, tahini..... (a sesame seed paste).

Incidentally, hummus tastes really good with a load of roasted sesame seeds and chopped fresh parsley added in... nice and crunchy then ! The shop bought stuff is too sloppy for me and never has enough garlic in it to justify the term hummus.... lol..
