I find this series a bit boring, there don't seem to have any real funny or odd characters in it this time, the last couple of weeks were really entertaining with characters like Barry and Angie, what do you think.

I agree in a way gelda, but it must be hard for the TV people to know what people are like when they have had a few drinks.

I wonder how they chose the people, Ive never seen any adverts for people to appear on the show?
I agree, this week has been a bit 'nice' with everyone seemingly getting on (which I guess is not really a bad thing). Hopefully, next week will throw up a couple of 'characters' like Bernard from a couple of weeks ago. And as much as I enjoy the commentary, I do feel it is getting a little too centre stage.

Would you go on the show?
What - and have all my 'guests' trawling through my knicker drawers (and worse) in front of the nation?
Oh yes!
I would have to warn my mother not to watch though.
hi gelda, i love this series but finding this weeks a tad boring, every now and again a funny one comes along, and the chappie who talks through the show is hilarious!!!
This programme has been running for a few years and was never intended as a 'freak show'.

I enjoy all of them.

I meant Bernard not Barry!I think a bit of nastiness makes the show, I know it shouldn't but everyone being nice to each other isn't very good entertainment, it's just too ordinary and no I wouldn't go on the show.
How do they all have fantastic houses?
I reckon the american girl is going to win.. that matthew bloke loves himself too much!
I like the programme and saw it tonight for the first time in ages and agree that it was a bit boring. I loved the Scottish one from Ayrshire a few series ago when the man served pigs trotters, it was hilarious. :)
hasi - that was Frazer or Fletcher or similar, and one lady kept getting his name wrong so he gor a name badge made up... and she still got it wrong... hilarious!!! wouldn't want them all descending on me tho!! I don't think Macaroni Cheese and vanilla ice cream would win!
I watch the show but think that now it is getting dumbed down in the respect that the contestants by and large are rubbish cooks.

I mean strawberries dipped in chocolate for desert...

Nice but hardly rocket science....
it seems they are concentrating more on the people than the cooking!
Last week's series was entertaining with all those characters at each others throats.

This week, they're getting on like houses on fire! Which is good.

I just like to see what they're cooking, that they reckon they're so good at and in my eyes it is not good at all!!!

The only person who makes it worth watching is the narrator Dave Lamb with his sarcastic comments. Without him, it was just be another cookery show.

Though it would be more interesting if a bunch of serial killers hosted the dinner party. That would make brilliant TV!
Oh - how disappointing.. that Matthew bloke won! never mind.... I thought they were a lovely bunch, and Dave Lamb is priceless!! ;-)
I love this programme...especially when they get so drunk they can hardly speak in the taxi on the way home! Dave Lamb is hysterical. When they filmed one in Cheshire a few years ago one of the ladies was filmed with me in the shop where I work. She made out she always shopped with us but I'd never seen her before in 6 years of working there, and I've never seen her since!!Then on the programme she made out we had forgotten to put her bread in her bag...in fact she had never even asked for any.I agree that most of them can't really cook very well, especially the desserts.
I bleeding love the prog -I dont look too deeply into it -I just think its the best telly for ages and PMSL at times.Yeah when the guy wasa so pished he culdnt keep his eyes open -class! I have ot on series link -wouldnt misss a prog.

I can guarantee you all this will be a classic -all but short lived but if you get the chance to watch it -its TV Gold,

Dave Lamb has me creased everynight-like I said before -a master stroke by the pruducers
Did you hear tonight
'soup gloop'

Lol.
or was it
'fruit gloop'????
CDWM has been broadcast since January 2005 - and I've watched every single episode.

It is definitely one of 'must see' tv programmes.
