Have I got a case against a financial advisor?
Have I got a case against my financial advisor? Who do i go to to recover my money?
I invested a large sum of money with my financial advisor (FA) in purchasing 2 pieces of land in Europe in 2006, for sale at a later date. The FA made the transaction under another one of his companies names not under his Financial Services Company. For the last 2 years he has provided no information on progress made. I have a receipt from him for the money only and email trails to verify we invested in the purchase of land. He has now been struck off for providing financial services fior not paying a fee and closed his office and only contactable on his home # if we are lucky. I have requested deeds for the 2 pieces of land but keep being told that he cannot provide this, Surely we are entitled to this if this is what he sold to us???. I am concerned him maybe winding up and we will never see our hard earned money ever again. Surely an individual of that stature cannot get away with losing our money that easily? We are getting No where with him and need to take some sort of formal action while he is around? Please can someone advise on whether we have a case against him and any hope of recovering what is ours and who we should contact or whether its a matter for the police and how we should go about taking action with them?
Thanks
