Sweetheart dessert from the 70's
10 Answers
Does anyone else remember this and miss it? It was in a tin and had real strawberries in it and when you added milk, it thickened up into a custardy dessert (goodness only knows what it had in it!)
I loved it as a child and have been searching for something similar ever since - Angel Delight just doesn't hit the spot! Any suggestions???

If there were free samples of anything a lot of them found their way into our cupboards. We had hundreds of tins of this. I have never heard of it with milk added. I have no idea what it was made of - but we loved it, but unfortunately have seen nothing similar since then.
Wow ive been searching this for years my mum used to do us strawberry sweetheart in the late 60s/70s i loved it, but begining to think i dreamt about it lol. I have in my head it was Birds Sweetheart it came in a tin, it was a syrupy liquid with strawberries in that she would mix with milk and it would set, it was the highlight of our Sunday tea.
