Sorry about that cowboy.
Well I would par boil corn on the cob then wrap it in tin foil along with some butter, salt and pepper then put it on the barbie until cooked and the last few mins take it out of the tin foil for that barbied look.
Anyway I am having a barbie tonight and you are all invited.

I always barbecue peppers chopped up and put on sticks with mushrooms, tomatoes and pieces of pork or beef - lovely!
The corn on the cob needs to be pre-cooked, brushed with butter and then wrapped in foil. It turns out beautifully.
Pineapple and lettuce hearts???? Forget them - lol - just have them separately.

If you can buy ears of corn that are still in the husks, then soak the ears, husk and all in some cold water for about 15 minutes. Then, pull the husks down from the top, leaving attached at the bottom, and remove the "silks". Be sure to clean them all off since they can leave a bitter taste. Spread with some semi-soft butter, salt and pepper, pull the husks back up and tie at the top with Butcher's String. Place on the grill about 3 to 5 minutes before turning a quarter turn... repeat until some brown marks on the husks... serve hot with extra butter...

Cowboy, don't listen to them! Thery're all daft!!
Allyou do is wrap them (NO Not the plebs answering the question - but you can give that a go nevertheless!) The corn etc., in tin foil, after giving them a wee coating of butter, and but on the BBQ! Just keep turing them and they should not get burnt.
My advice is to buy the frozen ones and let defrost well beforehand - - they are alot softer than the fresh ones you but from the Greengrocer - - give them a dry off in kitchen paper before putting butter on & give them a bit of salt and pepper and then wrap in the foil.
I also put shewers up their ends -hmmmmm - before I wrap them - easier to handle.

nah - The Cowboy.....do it my way: Hit Tesco & buy their pkts of 2 for 1 chicken legs, corn cobs & large potatos for all. Chuck all in oven on gas 6 and roast for 1hr. Meantime fire up bbq.
Place cooked foods to heat on barbie & serve on rhubarb leaves with tossed side salad. Rhubarb stalks dipped in hot honey to finish.
